RG1xx is the latest addition to Laird’s growing Sentrius family of long-range Enterprise IoT (EIoT) solutions. The RG1xx is a robust IoT LoRa enabled gateway that comes with enterprise Wi-Fi interface options, dual-band 802.11a/b/g/n Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and Bluetooth low energy providing customers ultimate design freedom to create their own end-to-end LPWAN network. This LoRaWAN gateway is based on the Semtech SX1301/SX1257 chipset designs enabling eight channels and powerful 27 dBm transmit power. The gateway is designed to work seamlessly with Laird’s ecosystem of RM1xx LoRa + BLE enabled modules, delivering simple out-of-the-box integration and compatibility with third party Cloud and LoRa partners as well as any other LoRaWAN client devices. The RG1xx addresses applications that require multi-protocol connectivity to long-distance IoT sensors and devices to create actionable IoT intelligence. The gateway has fully integrated support for third party LoRa network servers from The Things Network, Loriot, and Stream Communications to enable a simple, convenient transfer of the LoRAWAN data to customer’s own chosen server solution.
The module is available in two configurations to best meet the needs of global customers and features an industry leading breath of certifications and antenna options. Customers also have the option of the Sentrius RG1xx-M2 Concentrator Card. The pluggable M2.COM LoRaWAN adapter integrates a high performance, certified LoRaWAN gateway interface to any Linux based platform. This hardware solution expands upon Semtech drivers and reference design for improved RF performance. In addition, Laird has an additional option for a IP67 rated external GW enclosure for customer looking to situate their gateway in outdoor applications.
