By TDK-Lambda Americas, Inc. 139
TDK Corporation has introduced the TDK-Lambda KMS-A series, 15 W to 60 W, board-mount, AC-DC, medical- and ITE-certified power supplies. Capable of starting up at -40°C, the convection cooled units will operate in ambient temperatures of up to 80°C and are rated for full load over a -30°C to 50°C range. The KMS-A series is designed for use in a wide range of medical and industrial applications including dental, home healthcare, and test and measurement.
The encapsulated series is comprised of three power levels: 15 W, 30 W, and 60 W and five output voltages: 5 V, 9 V, 12 V, 15 V, and 24 V. The 15 W models measure 52.5 mm x 27.5 mm x 23.5 mm, the 30 W models measure 64 mm x 45 mm x 23.5 mm, and the 60 W models measure 89 mm x 63.5 mm x 27 mm. Rated for Class II operation, the KMS-A series requires no earth-ground connection.
The KMS-A series accepts an input voltage of 90 VAC to 264 VAC and requires no external input filtering components. Efficiencies are up to 89% and have an off-load power draw of less than 0.1 W for the KMS15A, less than 0.15 W for the KMS30A and less than 0.3 W for the KMS60A.
Input-to-output isolation is 4 kVAC, 2 x MOPPs, with all models certified to UL/CSA/IEC/EN 60950-1, ANSI/AAMI ES 60601-1, IEC/EN 60601-1, and carrying the CE mark for the low-voltage and RoHS2 directives. All units meet EN55011-B conducted and radiated emissions and IEC 61000-6-2 and IEC 61000-4 immunity standards.
