Bosch’s BMC150 is housed in an LGA package with a footprint of 2.2 x 2.2 mm² and 0.95 mm height. The BMC150 is an extremely small, low-power and low-noise, 6-axis digital compass. It measures the earth’s geomagnetic field as well as dynamic and static acceleration in all three dimensions and outputs tilt-compensated heading or orientation information. The integrated accelerometer provides all functionalities of Bosch Sensortec’s leading-edge, 12-bit digital accelerometer; including a 32-frame FIFO buffer storing acceleration data.
The Bosch Sensortec BMC150 shuttle-board is a PCB with a BMC150 eCompass sensor mounted on it. It allows easy access to the sensor's pins via a simple socket. As all Bosch Sensortec sensor shuttle boards have identical footprint, they can be plugged into Bosch Sensortec’s advanced development tools (e.g. the development board or application board). Of course, the BMC150 shuttle board can also be used for the customer’s own implementations.
