The DRV8833 device provides a dual bridge motor driver solution for toys, printers, and other mechatronic applications.

Internal shutdown functions with a fault output pin are provided for overcurrent protection, short-circuit protection, undervoltage lockout, and overtemperature. A low-power sleep mode is also provided.

DRV8833 Dual H-Bridge Motor Drivers
OMO Electronic DRV8833 dual H-bridge motor drivers provide a dual bridge motor driver solution for toys, printers, and other mechatronic applications. The TI DRV8833 has two H-bridge drivers and can drive two DC brush motors, a bipolar stepper motor, solenoids, or other inductive loads. The out driver block of each H-bridge consists of N-channel power MOSFETs configured as an H-bridge to drive the motor windings. Each H-bridge includes circuitry to regulate or limit the winding current. TI DRV8833 dual H-bridge motor drivers are capable of driving up to 1.5A RMS (or DC) continuously at 25ºC with a VM supply of 5V. It can support peak currents of up to 2A per bridge. The TI DRV8x family of integrated motor drivers enable designers to quickly and easily spin their motors, reducing time to market and greatly simplifying design. By integrating the gate drive circuitry, sense amps, protection, FETS, industry standard control interfaces, and drive algorithms, the design complexity, board space, and time to spin a motor have all be greatly reduced. With on-chip protection including overcurrent, thermal, shoot-through, and undervoltage, the DRV8x family is robust, reliable, and fully protected.
