GaN Switches
Qorvo GaN Switches are suited for RF Switching applications and feature high breakdown voltages combined with the low on-resistance and off-state capacitance. This enables a dramatic increases in power handling. GaAs FET switches are widely used in the RF industry, and typically used for power levels on the order of a few watts or less. GaN FET's are able to use the same circuit architectures to handle power levels on the order of tens of watts.
TGS2354-SM GaN Switch
Qorvo TGS2354-SM 40W GaN Switch is offered as a Single-Pole, Double-Throw (SPDT) reflective switch that operates from 0.5 to 6GHz. Developed using Qorvo's TQGaN25 0.25um GaN on SiC production process, the TGS2354-SM can support up to 40W input power handling at control voltages of 0/-40V. The TGS2354-SM switch maintains low insertion loss of 1.1dB or less, and greater than 25dB isolation. These capabilities make the TGS2354-SM GaN Switch ideal for high-power switching applications across both defense and commercial platforms. The TGS2354-SM GaN Switch features an aluminum-nitride base with a LCP epoxy-sealed lid in a 4x4mm air-cavity QFN package. The packaging and minimal DC power consumption allow for easy system integration in applications such as commercial & military radar, communications, electronic warfare, test instruments, general, and high-power switching.Learn More
