MaxLinear XR16M890 single-channel UARTs with selectable 8-bit Intel / Motorola / VLIO bus interface are the industry's fastest UARTs with integrated level shifters. XR16M890 single-channel UARTs feature a maximum data rate of 24 Mbps and offer 128 bytes of transmit and receive FIFOs. These MaxLinear devices also have up to 16 GPIO pins, Auto RTS/CTS Hardware Flow Control, Auto XON/XOFF Software Flow Control, TX/RX FIFO Counters, selectable or programmable transmit and receive FIFO trigger levels, and Fractional and Independent TX/RX Baud Rate Generators. Additionally, these devices offer Sleep and PowerSave modes to minimize power consumption.
