PUT THE LONG WIRE IN THE SQUARE HOLE. I made the mistake of looking at the flat side of the led with the flat side on the board THIS IS WRONG. The LEDs light up in the wrong order if you do this, see the picture with blue LEDs. So I had to solder them off and put new ones in, see the warm white LEDs are in the correct orientation and it works. The long pin of the led is positive, and that goes to the right of the arrow if it is pointing left, because diodes go from positive to negative. Also you can reprogram the chip with the serial pins on the board, but this is not recommended, because there is no way to get of the firmware that is on the chip when you get it. And you have to program the chip with assembly... but you can also use the pins on the outside to power the device with 3.3 or 5v. Shipping was one of the fastest.
