***ineon: The TLE7258 is a transceiver for the Local Interconnect Network (LIN) with integrated wake-up and protection features. It is designed for in- vehicle networks using data transmission rates up to 20 kbps. The TLE7258 operate as a bus driver between the protocol controller and the physical bus of the LIN network. Automotive LIN Transceivers: Infineon Technologies Automotive LIN Transceivers allow a basic serial network connection between actuators, sensors or switches and an ECU. LIN (Local Interconnect Network) bus reduces the design efforts and costs for car manufacturers. LIN is used in a growing number of applications, mainly for low speed networking (up to 20kBaud) in Body and Interior applications and for the exchange of comfort related data.
