Magnetic Position Sensing Solutions: Analog Devices Magnetic Position Sensing Solutions are specially designed to measure magnetoresistance (MR) across an extremely high bandwidth. Magnetoresistance is the tendency of a material to change the value of its electrical resistance in an externally applied magnetic field. The AMR sensors offer a high accuracy rating of 0.1° with 180° detection angle. The TMR sensors have a lower accuracy rating of 0.3° but provide a 360° detection angle. Designers can assemble both sensor types together to deliver optimum MR measurement performance. Analog Devices AMR/TMR sensors can detect magnetic fields with frequencies in the megahertz range.
