XR28V382 Dual and XR28V384 Quad 3.3V LPC UARTs
MaxLinear XR28V382 Dual and XR28V384 Quad 3.3V LPC UARTs with 128-byte FIFO can replace or supplement a Super I/O device to add additional serial ports to a system. The V382 and V384 UARTs support any 16-bit I/O address supported by the system. The register sets are based on the industry standard 16550 UART, so they operate with the standard serial port drivers without requiring a custom driver to be installed. The chance of buffer overflow and data loss are minimized by the 128 byte Transmit and Receive FIFOs. Other features include a configuration register set where enhanced options such as the 9-bit (multidrop) mode, IrDA mode and the Watchdog Timer can be enabled. The V382 and V384 are available in a 32-pin and a 48-pin TQFP package respectively.Learn More
