A1469 Three-Wire, True Zero-Speed, Differential Pe

Allegro Microsystems' A1469 is an optimized Hall effect sensing IC that provides a user-friendly solution for digital ring-magnet sensing, or when coupled with a magnet, ferromagnetic target sensing, in three-wire applications. The small device package can be easily assembled into applications for use in conjunction with a wide variety of target shapes and sizes. The A1469 is an A1468 with improved surge protection to meet JASO surge specifications for 5 V systems.

The A1469 design is optimized for the motorbike application. Compared to the competitor device, it does not require external filter cap and allows for zero-speed operation with the peak-detecting algorithm. Also, it has further maximum air gap capability to give customers the option of reducing magnet size, resulting in lower cost. Although the A1469 is optimized for motorbike application, the A1469 will be applicable for automotive speed sensing application.
